The Role: Project Manager
We have a permanent opportunity for a Project Engineer based in Perth with the requirement for occasional regional or remote site travel.
About The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Civils & Structural Project Manager. The role will be a combination of site based and head office work supporting the senior engineer to ensure our projects are appropriately managed and to assist in our tendering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Planning and Coordination: Manage the planning and design stages of construction projects, ensuring all aspects align with project goals and specifications.
* Budget Management: Perform cost calculations, prepare financial projections, and ensure adherence to budget constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
* Team Management: Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
* Quality Control: Conduct site checks to monitor progress and ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
* Problem Resolution: Address any issues that arise during project execution, ensuring timely solutions to minimize delays and budget overruns.
* Reporting: Regularly report project progress to senior management and stakeholders, providing updates on timelines, budgets, and any challenges faced.
About You:
You will be a dynamic, self-starter with plenty of enthusiasm and will align with our values. You will be an individual who can think outside the box, have an eye for detail with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural)
* 5+ years post graduate relevant engineering experience within a project delivery environment.
* A strong focus on positive safety outcomes
* Technical knowledge to interpret drawings, specifications and quality records
* Experience in estimating to support tender submissions
* Experience in procurement and deals with suppliers to ensure maximum cost efficiencies
* Competency with Project Document Management Systems
* Excellent people and project management skills
* Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a range of internal customers and external suppliers/subcontractors
* Attention to detail with the ability to problem solve
* High standard of computer skills and practical experience of the MS Office suite of products
* A Current Australian Driver's License
* OHS Construction Induction White card
