The Banana Allied Health Team provide coverage to Biloela, Moura, Baralaba and Theodore Hospitals. Our vision, outlined in our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy is for Biloela Hospital to be the Banana hub for emergency, diagnostic and a range of surgical services. We invest in Telehealth technology to provide local access to services wherever possible.
About the role:
Provide innovate and effective strategic leadership and management of the multidisciplinary Allied Heath Team across the Banana region delivering high quality, patient focused Allied Health services in acute, sub-acute, community and outreach settings across multiple rural sites.
This includes:
* Operational management of Banana Allied Health team, including financial, asset, and human resources.
* Service evaluation and strategic planning for rural allied health workforce to support delivery of safe, effective and sustainable rural Allied Health services.
* Leadership and management of quality improvement, risk mitigation, and service enhancement for subacute services across Banana and rural services.
About you:
* Possession of at least a tertiary degree qualification in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology, or Social Work (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution providing eligibility for registration and/or membership with the appropriate registration authority and/or professional association in Australia is mandatory.
* Where a discipline is registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), proof of current registration is required. Where a discipline is not registrable, at least proof of eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association is necessary.
* The successful applicant must maintain their continuing professional development at a level that will meet the CQHHS Credentialing and/or AHPRA registration.
* Whilst not mandatory, possession or progression towards a management qualification and/or a post graduate qualification in a clinical area would be highly regarded.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $14,385 p.m. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $ $76.30 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
