Are you an experienced and motivated Allied Health Assistant with strong leadership skills and a passion for helping patients regain their independence? West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated Allied Health Assistant to join our dynamic Allied Health Team, working across a range of departments, including our subacute services. About the Role:
As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide support for inpatients and home-based patients. Your duties will include:
* Provision of aids/equipment
* Delivering exercise programs prescribed by therapists
* Supporting individual and group therapy sessions as directed by Allied Health Professionals
* Completing community home visits
* General administration tasks including managing therapy spaces/equipment, computer data entry and appointment bookings.
What we're looking for:
* Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
* Experience in delivering therapy support, including group and individual therapy
* Team collaboration and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
* Demonstrate accountability, reliability, professionalism and continuous improvement
* Promote a positive and respectful team culture
* Computer literacy, including word processing
* Current driver's license
IMPORTANT:Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
