The Opportunity
Join our forward‑thinking Digital Business team in this teaching‑focused role, where you'll help shape the next generation of digitally fluent business graduates. You'll coordinate and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses that reflect contemporary digital technologies, platform‑based business models, and real‑world industry practice. With a strong focus on digital transformation, data‑informed decision‑making, and AI‑enabled business applications, you'll embed future‑focused, practice‑informed perspectives across the curriculum.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality, scholarly teaching by maintaining discipline currency, designing effective curricula, engaging students across multiple modes, and providing timely, constructive assessment and feedback.
* Contribute to the University's research objectives through developing a focused research agenda, participating in research teams, publishing outcomes, securing funding, and supervising HDR candidates.
* Actively engage with regional, national, and international partners to apply academic expertise to real‑world challenges and enhance social, civic, and professional outcomes.
* Support University priorities through meaningful internal service and collaboration beyond teaching and research activities.
About you
You are a creative and technically skilled game art and animation specialist who blends artistry with technological precision. With advanced digital fluency and hands‑on experience in industry‑standard game engines like Unreal Engine and Unity, you bring deep expertise in environment and character design, asset modelling, animation workflows, and interactive storytelling. Your practice demonstrates the ability to craft visually striking, real‑time, and immersive experiences using creative coding, AI‑assisted tools, and GPU‑accelerated workflows. You have a proven record of producing industry‑recognised animation or interactive projects, and you thrive on guiding students through learner‑centred, digitally enhanced curricula that connect game art and animation to broader disciplines and industry contexts. Collaborative and collegial, you contribute to a positive academic environment, working with students, peers, and industry partners to prepare graduates who are ready to shape the future of games, interactive media, and experiential storytelling.
Qualifications
* A doctoral qualification (or near completion) in a relevant business, commerce or ICT discipline.
* A postgraduate qualification in field adjacent to digital business, ICTs or Business Analytics.
* Strong experience in the delivery and coordination of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in digital business‑related areas, with the ability to manage high‑quality teaching in technology‑enabled and AI‑informed business contexts.
* Proficiency in contemporary digital and professional tools used in teaching and practice, such as digital business platforms, business analytics tools, project and operations management systems, and AI‑enabled applications.
* Evidence of effective, engaging teaching practice, demonstrated through positive student feedback, strong learning outcomes, and success in delivering complex, technology‑rich courses.
* Evidence of developing scholarly or practice‑based contributions, such as industry engagement, applied scholarship, or publications relevant to digital business, ICT, or digital transformation.
Desired qualifications
* AdvanceHE fellowship or Postgraduate qualification in higher education.
* Relevant industry or professional certifications in digital business, project management, analytics, AI, or related fields.
* Experience in course or program coordination within higher education and active engagement with relevant professional or industry bodies.
