Senior SQL Database Administrator Position
This role involves managing and maintaining a large enterprise environment spanning multiple locations in Australia and overseas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage high-availability Microsoft SQL implementations across the enterprise.
* Database Design and Implementation: Install, configure, upgrade, and monitor databases to ensure optimal performance.
* Performance Monitoring and Optimisation: Regularly monitor database performance and optimise queries for efficient processing.
* Database Security: Implement and manage security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with Australian standards.
* Support for Application Teams: Provide support for application teams regarding database-related incidents and requests.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A high level of proficiency as a DBA managing Enterprise Microsoft SQL Server is essential.
* In-depth knowledge of the SQL Server Database engine is required.
* Platform experience covering virtualisation, Windows clustering, and associated technologies is necessary.
* Experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery scenarios (Always On Availability Groups, Clustering, Mirroring, Log shipping) is essential.
* Experience undertaking backup and data recovery processes is required.
