About the Role
The Mackay Regional in Charge Medical Administrator is responsible for the operational delivery of medical administrative services across multiple Queensland X-Ray practices in the Mackay region.
Key Responsibilities
- Operationally manage medical administrative services across multiple Queensland X-Ray practices within the Mackay region under the direction of the Managing Radiologist/s and the Clerical Operations Coordinator in accordance with Queensland X-Ray operational requirements.
- Apply well-developed clerical knowledge and skills to the management of medical administrative services across the region, ensuring alignment with Queensland X-Ray operational requirements.
- Foster and promote a culture of service excellence through the consistent demonstration of responsibility, accountability, and initiative across all aspects of medical administrative service provision.
- Lead the development of service improvement initiatives across multiple practices to ensure the provision of high-quality medical administrative services in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary practice leadership group.
- Build advanced leadership and operational management capabilities in clerical leaders across the region.
- Lead change management processes with direction from the Clerical Operations Coordinator and in collaboration with clerical leaders across the region.
- Apply expertise to solve large-scale and/or complex regional, administrative service or workflow problems.
About You
- Certificate III in Business Administration or other relevant TAFE/university qualification.
- Previous managerial experience in a multi-modality setting in a major metropolitan or regional area.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a medical imaging department.
- An understanding of the importance of confidentiality across all areas of the business.
- Demonstrate sound judgement and maturity.
- Ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail.
