. With a strong focus on precision, compliance, and client satisfaction, we are looking to expand our team with a motivated Civil Engineering Technician / Scheduler to support our detailing, fabrication, and installation processes. Key Responsibilities
* Interpret architectural and structural drawings to prepare material take-offs, fabrication schedules, and bar bending schedules (BBS) for both structural and reinforcement steel.
* Estimate material quantities and prepare cost calculations to support project planning and procurement.
* Coordinate and supervise the cutting, bending, and fabrication processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
* Conduct and review laboratory tests on steel to confirm compliance with Australian standards and performance criteria.
* Liaise with engineers, drafters, site teams, and production staff to resolve technical issues and ensure correct interpretation of design details.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reinforcement detailing, and fabrication drawings.
* Assist with quality assurance, inspections, and field data collection to support site execution and project tracking.
* Monitor and review work programs, delivery schedules, and production workflows for feasibility and compliance.
Requirements
* A relevant degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
* A minimum of 1–2 years of relevant industry experience within Australia.
* Australian citizens or permanent residents are preferred; however, temporary residents with full work rights are also encouraged to apply.
* Strong understanding of steel reinforcement and structural steel applications in construction.
* Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and preparing schedules.
* Attention to detail, teamwork, and time management skills are essential.
