The Role
We are seeking a self-motivated hands-on Agricultural Technician to join our team in a dynamic, fast paced fruit processing environment.
* Full-time permanent salaried position.
* 38 hours per week Monday to Friday.
* Operation hours vary between 6:30am and 5pm.
* Located at 376A Lobethal Road Ashton SA 5137.
* Salary between $75,000 – $90,000
* More than one position available.
* Must be available on weekends and nights where required.
Tasks / Duties
* Identifying pathogenic micro-organisms and insects, parasites, fungi and weeds harmful to crops, and assisting in devising methods of control.
* Analyze soil and land characteristics including nutrient monitoring to determine best use of land.
* Analyzing produce to set and maintain standards of quality.
* Ensure product quality standards are maintained to customer specifications and perform quality checks as required.
* Record keeping.
* Develop and maintain complex systems and equipment, and provide support and advice on technology solutions including farm management software, sensors, robotics and AI.
* Collecting and collating data for research and analysis of production processes.
* Planning of harvesting, production schedule and other aspects of production processes.
* Advise management on growing and harvest techniques and management.
* Use of technological systems on tractors and related equipment to complete tasks related to primary production.

Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant Diploma level qualifications or higher
* Demonstrate at least one year experience in a related field
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
* Experience in the food and beverage industry and Forklift licence are desired but not essential.
