Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standard.
- Manage and mentor a team of site supervisors, providing guidance and support to ensure all tasks and responsibilities are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Review and approve project plans, including scheduling, budget, and design.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure that their work is completed to the required standards and schedule.
- Ensure all construction projects comply with local building codes and regulations, obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
- Monitor project progress and costs, and take corrective action as necessary to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering construction projects.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of site supervisors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Must have a detailed understanding of construction processes, including building codes and regulations, and health and safety regulations.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in construction management or a related field is preferred.
