Platinum Pacific Partners is currently partnering with an established global private credit investor who is seeking an Investment Analyst to join their Sydney-based team.
The firm manages close to $1bio USD in assets globally and has been providing bespoke debt solutions to emerging growth companies for close to 30 years. Investing across multiple strategies, the platform supports businesses in technology, fintech, life sciences and healthcare and has built a strong reputation as an early and consistent provider of debt capital to high-growth companies in Australia and internationally.
The strategy spans both corporate lending and asset-backed financing. The platform continues to see strong momentum, having recently launched a new later-stage strategy and has further capital raising initiatives underway.
The Sydney office is a key hub within the global business, leading a significant portion of Asia Pacific activity and working closely with international teams. This is an exceptional opportunity where you will be able to work closely with the regional head for Asia Pacific & Australia and a lean senior team, gaining end-to-end exposure across the deal lifecycle in a highly entrepreneurial and collaborative environment!
Key Responsibilities include:
* Assessing new investment opportunities: reviewing data rooms, financials and business information
* Building and maintaining financial models and preparing analysis and credit memos for investment committee
* Supporting deal origination through first-pass analysis and screening of opportunities
* Assisting in deal execution, including coordinating due diligence, managing legal processes and interacting directly with clients
* Supporting term sheet preparation and transaction structuring
* Monitoring and managing a diversified global portfolio, including performance analysis
* Collaborating with global investment teams and supporting offshore resources
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in moving to a buy-side growth credit platform, ideally from:
* Institutional or corporate banking
* Big 4 deal teams (transaction services, debt advisory, restructuring)
* Advisory‐led backgrounds are viewed favourably, with a strong emphasis on credit and financial analysis capability
You will bring:
* 1-5 years' experience
* Strong financial modelling, analytical and credit assessment skills
* Excellent attention to detail and written communication
* The ability to manage multiple workstreams and operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy in a lean team
* A proactive, self-starting mindset, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders early
