About the Role:
NRW Holdings (ASX: NWH) is a diversified, Australian-owned contractor offering services to the Mining and Civil Infrastructure sectors.
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our Belmont Head Office on a full time basis. This key role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and securing enterprise systems and cloud infrastructure across NRW Holdings and its subsidiaries. The position involves leading IT projects, managing critical platforms, and providing advanced technical support to ensure business continuity and operational efficiency.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining internal systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Managing Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Exchange Online, Office 365, Active Directory).
- Overseeing virtualisation environments (VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V).
- Configuring and supporting backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Implementing security measures to safeguard systems and data.
- Supporting network operations including LAN, VLANs, Firewalls, and VPN.
- Monitoring systems, analysing alerts, and performing remediation.
- Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, reports, and policies.
- Leading IT projects and providing expert guidance across multiple entities.
To be considered for this position, you will require:
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or MCSE.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Servers, Azure, and scripting.
- Strong experience with on-premises and virtualised technologies (HP/Dell servers, HCI, VMware, Citrix).
- Proven project management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships.
