Our client is government‐owned corporation based in Sydney's West.
They are now looking for a UX/UI Web Tester (Front‐End QA) to play a critical role in ensuring their website delivers pixel‐perfect, accessible, and high‐quality digital experiences.
This will be an initial 3 months contract, hybrid.
About the role
Reporting to the Business Analysis and Testing Manager, this role sits at the intersection of design and engineering.
This is a hands‐on, detail‐driven role where success is measured by design fidelity, accessibility compliance, release confidence and reduced design‐to‐build drift.
What you'll be doing
* Create and execute UX/UI test plans mapped to Figma components and acceptance criteria
* Validate pixel accuracy (layout, spacing, typography, components and states)
* Conduct accessibility testing to WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 AA standards (keyboard, screen readers, focus, contrast, ARIA)
* Test interactive behaviour including navigation, forms, modals, animations and micro‐interactions
* Identify, triage and clearly report defects using Azure DevOps
* Work closely with designers and engineers to resolve issues without compromising UX intent
* Provide sprint‐level quality readouts and sign‐off on design fidelity prior to release
What we're looking for
* 4–6+ years' experience in UX/UI testing or front‐end QA for responsive websites
* Strong Figma expertise (components, variants, Auto Layout, Dev Mode, handoff)
* Solid understanding of HTML/CSS and how front‐end behaviour impacts UX
* Practical experience with WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
* Strong communication skills — able to provide clear, actionable feedback and collaborate effectively
* This role will allow you to be part of a once‐in‐a‐generation infrastructure project, working on a high‐profile, public‐facing digital product.
