Join the Emergency Department at Launceston General Hospital (LGH) and deliver rapid, high-quality care as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
The Team: The Emergency Department team at Launceston General Hospital (LGH), as part of the Department of Health Tasmania, consists of highly skilled emergency physicians, nurses, paramedics, and support staff who collaborate to provide urgent and life-saving care to the community.
The team utilises advanced medical protocols to assess, stabilise, and treat patients with acute conditions, ranging from trauma to medical emergencies.
Working closely with other departments and community health services, they ensure timely escalation and transfer of critical patients to appropriate care levels.
Through their commitment to rapid response and high-quality care, the team plays a crucial role in safeguarding the health and well-being of Tasmanians.
The Role: Demonstrated high level skills in the clinical coordination of patient care, patient flow and discharge planning.Ability to lead and work effectively with an inter-professional team.Demonstrated advanced interpersonal skills.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.

Details of appointment: Multiple Permanent, full time and part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 76hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as you can join our team.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:$106,570 to $112,440 per a nnum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification typeSalary Packaging: You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Benefits available to eligible candidates: Paymentof $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.Professional development and accelerated pathways.A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support.Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.More information about our Employee Benefits can be found here
