Learning Systems Administrator Position
This role is a key part of the Education Services team, supporting the Faculty's Education Portfolio and aligning with university teaching and learning strategic initiatives.
* Primary Responsibilities:
* Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of educational learning platforms including Moodle, Turnitin, Mahara, H5P, Poll Everywhere, Panopto, Feedback Fruits.
* Transfer and upload course materials, assessments, and resources to Moodle, ensuring accurate and efficient implementation.
* Stay informed on emerging trends in learning systems, evaluating new developments and their impact on teaching and learning.
* Provide technical guidance and support to staff members, implementing procedures to prevent recurrence.
* Contribute to the development of quality learning systems and practices through active collaboration with stakeholders.
* Design and deliver training programs that teach users how to effectively use educational technology platforms and tools.
* Portfolio of evidence which demonstrates the ability to use e-learning authoring tools for creating online content.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience with learning management systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Turnitin, and Google Apps for Education.
* Strong understanding of e-learning pedagogy, instructional design, and educational technologies.
* Experience transferring and uploading content to Moodle, ensuring alignment with teaching objectives.
* Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
