Whilst a postgraduate qualification is an essential requirement for ongoing appointment to this vacancy, all applicants will be assessed. If the most suitable applicant does not hold the qualification, they may be appointed on a fixed basis with ongoing appointment subject to attaining the qualification during the fixed term.
About the Role
* In this senior leadership position, you will:
* Provide strategic and operational leadership across perioperative services, including theatre and Phase 1 recovery
* Oversee delivery of safe, efficient and culturally appropriate care for patients undergoing surgery and procedures
* Lead and manage a multi-skilled team including nursing staff, CSSD technicians and scheduling staff
* Drive service planning, quality improvement and performance outcomes, including compliance with NSQHS Standards
* Manage human, financial and material resources to support sustainable service delivery
* Provide clinical leadership, supervision and guidance to support staff capability and development
* This role is primarily Monday to Friday, with participation in on-call and clinical care as required.

* You are an experienced perioperative leader who brings:
* Demonstrated experience in perioperative nursing and theatre environments
* Strong leadership capability, including strategic thinking, workforce management and change leadership
* Proven ability to analyse service performance and implement improvements
* Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A commitment to culturally safe care
* Postgraduate qualifications or working towards them in the relevant specialty
