Job Description

The purpose of this role is to oversee the delivery of comprehensive volunteer training programs, ensuring alignment with the statewide rural firefighting training framework.
\
This involves leading a network of Area Training Officers and coordinating the implementation of training plans to address current and future training requirements.
\
Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and sustaining a network of qualified trainers to ensure capability and capacity across the district to support volunteer training requirements.
\
Furthermore, you will assist with the coordination of operational exercise management capability within the Region, providing support and advice to appraise exercise objectives and outcomes.
\
You will also act as the strategic conduit between Area Training Officers and the RFSQ Training unit, advocating for District needs and issues while also championing State programs and priorities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants must meet the mandatory requirements and attributes as outlined in the generic RFSQ Inspector role description.
\
Highly desirable requirements include a high level understanding of contemporary training methodologies and registered training organisations requirements.
\
Applicants should possess a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or accredited tertiary qualification in adult education.
\
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders from rural and remote communities is highly regarded.

This is a day work position yet may require flexible hours of work to meet functional demands, including working at night on weekends as part of the role.
