STEMM Communicators Australia LTD is a small not-for-profit organisation. We are the creators of That's What I Call Science, an award-winning radio show and podcast that celebrates STEMM. STEMM Communicators Australia and That's What I Call Science are volunteer-run.
We're looking for someone who's organised, thoughtful, and eager to learn about governance and compliance in a supportive environment. You don't need to be an expert, just someone who enjoys keeping things running smoothly and has an eye for detail.
About the Role
This role supports the board and company secretary to make sure we're meeting our legal and governance responsibilities. You'll help with meeting administration, record-keeping, and communication between directors and members.
It's an entry-level role that offers the chance to learn about not-for-profit governance from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and lodge basic compliance documents with guidance.
* Support the organisation of board meetings and the annual general meeting (AGM).
* Help prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and distribute notes
* Help communicate important information to members and stakeholders.
* Take part in training to build your understanding of governance, compliance, and company secretarial work.

* Someone with good attention to detail and a love of keeping things organised.
* Values-driven, with an interest in community or not-for-profit work.
Qualifications and Experience
* Administrative experience (paid or volunteer) would be helpful but not essential.
