About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is now available for a passionate and energetic Chef de Partie to become part of our dynamic kitchen team on a part-time basis.
As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you'll work closely with a team of talented chefs to deliver high-quality dishes that impress our members and guests. Your contribution will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen, with a strong focus on teamwork and consistency to deliver an exceptional level of service to our members and guests. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of a section of the kitchen that aligns with your strengths and passion, making it your own and taking it to the next level.
Our kitchen operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so flexibility is key. Evening and weekend availability is essential, and you'll be rostered in line with business demands to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Serve a consistent high-quality product
* Manage the regular rotation of stock, ensuring there is minimal wastage
* Oversee and perform operational duties of the section
* Work in all areas of the kitchen operation; and
* Train and induct staff and supervise the development of apprentices, cooks and chefs assigned to the sections
What you'll need to be successful
* Previous Demi Chef/ Chef de Partie experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort, or similar environment
* A Commercial Cookery qualification, recognised in Australia
* Demonstrated experience in cookery and well developed knife skills
* Thrive in a large, busy & fast paced work environment
