About The Role
Are you an experienced software developer with a passion for innovation and excellence? At Sentral, we empower educators with the tools they need to deliver great learning outcomes. As a Software Developer, you'll play a key role in evolving our product suite—designing, building, and improving applications used by thousands of schools across the country. You'll be part of a cross-functional team that takes ownership from idea to delivery, help shape the future of our products, work with stakeholders, and continuously improve software delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
* Designing and implementing product enhancements in a collaborative, agile team.
* Embedding quality into everything you build—proactively maintaining and improving existing features.
* Staying current with development practices and technology trends to keep products ahead of the curve.
* Partnering with stakeholders across the business to ensure customer needs are met with market-fit solutions.
* Supporting a culture of learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Salary
The salary for this role is $120,000 per annum + superannuation.
About You
We're looking for a teammate who will stand by our values and bring them to life. A brand ambassador who collaborates, partners and stands with us. You will bring:
* 3+ years commercial experience in software development;
* Solid experience with PHP, JavaScript, Angular, and MySQL;
* Strong knowledge of software development patterns (OOP, MVC, etc.);
* A working understanding of agile methodologies and iterative delivery;
* Confidence collaborating across departments and communicating technical ideas clearly;
* A curious mindset and drive to stay on top of emerging tech trends;
* Organised, thoughtful, and proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications

* Full work rights in Australia
* Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check
* Ability to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check
