With a proud heritage in exploration and gold production, our team is now seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Mine Geologist to support our growing Geology Department. Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, the role will be to
* Implement programs and target areas within the business where growth can be achieved and value added.
* Provide support and guidance in areas of business development to both the Mine Geology.
* To plan and implement resource definition and grade control programs.
* To assist with the planning and implementation of exploration programs and Resource definition works
* Ensure geological information used in developing, planning and operating the business are prepared and presented in accordance with Company and professional standards
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
* A degree in Geology and a minimum of 3 years’ - 5 years mining experience preferably underground gold.
* Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the mining cycle from exploration through to mining and geological reconciliation.
* Proven leadership skills and ability to develop and mentor the mine geology team.
* Demonstrated technical excellence and best practice methods in grade control, geological modelling and estimation.
* High level of accountability and attention to safety, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
* Professional membership of AusIMM or AIG (desirable).
