Clinical Training and Supervision Support Officer

Lead state‐wide multicultural clinical training programs. Shape evidence‐based supervision across GambleAware services. Drive culturally responsive gambling counselling excellence.

Manage, design and deliver evidence‐based clinical training and supervision to strengthen culturally responsive gambling and mental health services across NSW.

Location: Cumberland Hospital, North Parramatta

About the Role

Join Western Sydney Local Health District at Cumberland Hospital, NSW's largest and Australia's oldest mental health facility. Located in North Parramatta and part of a major new Integrated Mental Health Complex at Westmead, Cumberland Hospital is recognised for innovation, collaboration and respectful care. You'll be part of the state‐wide GambleAware Multicultural Service, working alongside multidisciplinary clinicians dedicated to culturally responsive practice and community impact.

Responsibilities
* Coordinate, develop and evaluate high‐quality clinical training and supervision programs to strengthen culturally responsive gambling and mental health services for CALD communities.
* Lead the advancement of evidence‐based clinical practice for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
* Design, deliver and evaluate clinical training and enhanced supervision systems.
* Provide confidential supervision, consultation and remediation support to clinicians.
* Mentor and build workforce capability within small and emerging communities.
* Deliver expert consultancy to improve clinical standards, quality and patient safety.
* Play a critical role in shaping clinical excellence, building workforce capability and ensuring safe, inclusive and culturally responsive care across the GambleAware network.
Qualifications

Masters Degree or higher in Clinical Psychology. Postgraduate qualifications must be of no less than two years‐full time duration and include skilled clinical coursework, clinical training and supervised placement experience.

Registration

Membership with relevant professional body – the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as appropriate.

Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications in clinical psychology and current registration with the relevant professional body.
* Clinical experience working in mental health & addictions settings and working with clinicians and managers within diverse environments.
* Demonstrated experience in training and clinical supervision.
* Demonstrated experience, knowledge, understanding and commitment to patient safety, cultural safety, and quality management.
* Proven ability to initiate and plan change to drive quality outcomes in multidisciplinary environments.
* Highly developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and liaison skills.
* Demonstrated experience in building rapport and establishing trust.
* Valid unrestricted NSW drivers licence.
