Our Service

We operate headspace Centres as one-stop-shops for young people needing help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs, and/or work and study support.


Main Offerings:

2. Permanent, full-time opportunity available

Role Overview:

1. Provide Individual Placement and Support (IPS) vocational services to young people with mental illness.
2. Assist and provide program direction to a small team of IPS vocational Specialists.
3. Offer career development advice, vocational, and employment assistance to young people with mental illness up to the age of 25, in conjunction with the headspace clinical team, ensuring sustainable participation in vocational education and employment.


Requirements:

1. Minimum Cert IV in Mental Health/Community Services related discipline (preferably Diploma/Degree)
2. Knowledge of Individual Placement and Support principles-based supported employment.
3. Demonstrate recovery-focused, person-centred attitude towards individuals with mental health needs and disabilities
4. Experience leading or managing staff/teams
5. Experience working with young people with mental health needs
6. Ability to network effectively with key stakeholders, community organisations, clinical staff, and employers
7. Knowledge and experience in employment services or other social inclusion services
8. Local labour market trends knowledge and legislation understanding
9. Computer, technology, and administration skills
10. Working With Children Check eligibility
11. NDIS worker screening clearance eligibility
12. Current Driver's license
