Bring clarity, consistency, and leadership to the engine room of Tasmania Logistics.
If you're someone who thrives on creating order, lifting standards, and leading people through complexity, this could be your role.
At Strait Link, we play a vital role in keeping Tasmania connected to the mainland. As the business enters a new chapter focused on long-term stability, continued investment, and stronger ways of working, we're looking for an Administration Manager – Tasmania Logistics to help lift and align how our administrative operations run across the state.
This is a hands‑on leadership role. One where you bring structure to complexity. One where strong administration enables strong operations.
About the Role
As Administration Manager – Tasmania Logistics, you'll lead administration teams across multiple sites, including Brighton, Launceston, Burnie and Devonport.
You'll work closely with Operations and Finance to ensure administration doesn't just support the business — it enables it. This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, process improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration.
You'll have genuine scope to streamline processes, lift consistency, and build a high‑performing administrative function that supports frontline operations across Tasmania.
What you'll be trusted to do
* Lead, coach and support administration teams across multiple Tasmanian sites
* Bring consistency and structure to administrative processes in a complex, multi‑site environment
* Partner with Operations leaders to align administrative activity with site priorities
* Work closely with Finance to support accurate, timely and compliant reporting
* Identify inefficiencies, risks and gaps — and turn them into practical improvements
* Build capability, accountability and confidence across administration teams
* Act as the central coordination point for key administrative deliverables across Tasmania
This role will suit you if…
You're an experienced administration leader who knows how to balance structure with flexibility in a fast‑moving environment.
You're comfortable working across multiple locations, influencing a wide range of stakeholders, and leading teams through change — calmly and confidently.
You'll likely bring:
* Proven experience leading administration or business support teams (typically 5+ years)
* Strong partnering capability with Operations and Finance
* A practical, solutions‑focused mindset and passion for continuous improvement
* The ability to juggle competing priorities across sites and teams
* Clear communication, sound judgement and a calm, organised approach
* Strong Microsoft Office capability and solid financial administration experience
Experience in logistics, transport or industrial environments is advantageous, but not essential. What matters most is your ability to create clarity, consistency and momentum.
Where you'll make a Difference
Strait Link is in a period of exciting change, with recent ownership changes positioning the business for long‑term stability and growth.
In this role, you'll have strong leadership support and a clear mandate to improve how administration supports large‑scale logistics operations across Tasmania. You'll help shape more consistent, effective ways of working — and leave things better than you found them.
