About Us
Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) plays an integral role in education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs).
The Catholic Education Office (CEO) within CECG provides corporate services to the CECG system of Schools, ELCs and the CEO through seven Service Areas. These Service Areas include: Education and Performance Improvement; Catholic Identity; School and Family Services; Strategy and Special Projects; Finance and Infrastructure; Information and Communication Technology; and People and Culture.
About The Role
This role supports the implementation of the Archdiocesan Vision for Catholic Schools and provides efficient and effective payroll transactions. Working in a team environment, the Payroll Officer manages a case load of work locations and performs end to end payroll activities.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include
Enter new employee pay details and entitlements and vary existing pay and conditions in accordance with guidelines, employment and human resources (HR) policy, legislative and industrial instruments. This includes across state, territory and federal jurisdictions and four enterprise agreements administered by CECG.
Create, update and interrogate data across a range of business-critical systems, applications and platforms.
Respond to a large volume of customer enquiries in writing and verbally in a timely, efficient and effective manner with sensitivity.
Perform complex calculations associated with employee entitlements.
Process the fortnightly pay run.
