About the role
Bedingfeld Park Aged Care is seeking a dedicated Lifestyle & Activities Officer to join our team in Pinjarra, WA. This part-time role (Tuesday - Friday) will be responsible for delivering engaging and enriching activities and programs to our residents, supporting their overall wellbeing and quality of life.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting with developing and implementing a diverse range of social, recreational, and therapeutic activities tailored to the interests and needs of our aged care residents
* Facilitating group activities, outings, and events that encourage social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity
* Assisting residents with participating in activities and providing individualised support as needed
* Collaborating with the care team to ensure activities align with residents' care plans and support their health and wellbeing goals
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to resident participation and activity programs
* Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all residents during activities
What we're looking for
* Relevant qualifications in leisure, recreation, or aged care, or equivalent experience (3-5 Years experience in a similar role)
* A genuine passion for working with the elderly and a commitment to delivering person-centred care
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and the care team
* Creativity and imagination in designing and facilitating meaningful activities
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* A positive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with older adults
* LR (Light Rigid) Driver’s License preferred, but not essential
