Return to Work and Health Safety Officer
The Return to Work and Health Safety Officer plays a key role in supporting our health, safety, and wellbeing objectives through the coordination of return to work programs, injury management processes, and provision of high-quality administrative support.
This officer will be proactive, tech-savvy, and customer-focused—bringing innovation, strong administrative skills, and a commitment to service excellence to deliver outstanding results.
The key responsibilities include:
* Managing day-to-day coordination and administration of workplace injury claims and rehabilitation programs in line with legislative frameworks.
* Supporting wellbeing initiatives and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture.
* Maintaining WHS and RTW systems, monitoring data entry into systems, generating reports, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
* Delivering high-quality administrative services, including meeting coordination, document preparation, purchase orders, system maintenance, and workflow tracking.
* Ensuring legislative and ethical compliance, upholding obligations under WHS and Return to Work legislation, and demonstrating high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
* Driving continuous improvement and innovation by implementing opportunities for improving administrative systems and processes.
* Building strong relationships with staff, providers, and insurers to ensure coordinated care and support.
Essential Criteria
* Certificate-level qualification in Business Administration, WHS, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
* Practical knowledge of the Return to Work Act 2014 and workers' compensation coordination.
* Experience supporting WHS systems, return to work processes, or similar HR/health administration functions.
