Tyrewise is expanding which means the team is growing, again! We are on the hunt for an experienced and skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team.
Duties
* Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
* Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
* Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
* Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
* Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
* Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
* Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
* Providing customer service support at reception where required
* Maintain high standard of housekeeping.
* Ensure all mechanical equipment is maintained and in good working condition.
* Work with care and consideration of own health and safety and that of others.
* Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
* Observe Company policy and procedures.
* Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* Current and valid manual drivers licence
* Knowledge of diagnostic tools and specialist equipment
* High attention to detail and a can do attitude
* Must have good people and communication skills
* Sound computer skills
* Must be legally able to work in Australia
