We are seeking an experienced and motivated Farming Manager to lead operations across our backgrounding properties at New Norcia and Koojan Downs.
in Western Australia. This is a key leadership role focused on driving productivity, improving pasture and forage crop development, and unlocking the full potential of these large-scale aggregations.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing operational farming plans, including production targets, budgets, and resource allocation. In addition, you will lead long-term programs to enhance soil health, irrigation systems, farming infrastructure, and technology adoption—ensuring best-practice agronomy is consistently applied.
The Backgrounding Properties:
New Norcia Farm is located next to the historic township of New Norcia. It is a 7975ha property which has a frontage to the Moore River and is located 132km north of Perth in Western Australia.
Koojan Downs Farm is located 25kms from Moora, 160kms north of Perth in Western Australia and is a 10,000ha property.
Please note:
* Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia and a current driver's licence. These roles are not suitable for people on short term /working holiday visas.
What you will bring to the role:
* Proven strategic and operational leadership experience in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of agronomy, chemical use, and weed management.
* Hands-on experience operating and maintaining modern farming equipment.
* A strong commitment to safety and animal welfare.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
* Initiative and problem-solving ability.
* Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment.
