A highly respected Perth-based cost consultancy is seeking an experiencedLead Quantity Surveyorto join their leadership group and support a growing portfolio acrossmajor infrastructure, mining, water, and public-sector capital programs.
This role is a strategic long-term hire and will suit a Senior/Lead QS who is confident engaging with executives in Tier-1 mining companies, government agencies, and major project delivery partners, while also developing and leading an internal team.
The Opportunity
The Lead Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
Leading cost planning, measurement, estimating and contract support across large-scale infrastructure and resources projects.
Acting as the senior interface to high-value clients, including Tier-1 miners, Water Corporation-level utilities, and government infrastructure agencies.
Mentoring and developing a growing QS/estimating team.
Supporting business growth, capability uplift, and best-practice development across the consultancy.
Contributing to strategic leadership and long-term business direction.
This is ideal for someone who wants a stable, senior seat — not transient project work — and who wants influence in shaping a cost consultancy's future.
Candidate Requirements
Australian experience in quantity surveying, cost engineering, or estimating.
Proven background deliveringmajor infrastructure projects— water, roads, heavy civils, mining infrastructure, energy or transport.
Outstandingcommunication skillswith the ability to confidently engage executives, senior managers, and external project leadership.
Demonstrated experienceleading and mentoring teams.
Strong technical capability in cost planning, estimating, measurement, contract analysis and commercial support.
Degree inQuantity Surveying or Construction Management.
Experience dealing with Water Corporation, Main Roads, Tier-1 miners/Contractors, EPC/EPCM firms or similar.
Solid understanding of construction materials, methodologies, pricing and commercial frameworks.
Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder engagement capability.
