Lutheran Care operates 6 Op Shops throughout SA, with the proceeds of all goods sold supporting the programs / services that Lutheran Care provides to SA communities. Current programs include emergency relief, financial counselling, family support and education, foster care, housing and family shelter, and refugee services.
In the role of Thrift Store Manager, you will use your retail and supervisory experience to help those in need in our communities by coordinating the daily operations of the thrift shop whilst focusing on generating a valuable income through the sale of quality recycled clothing and bric-a-brac.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to coordinate and contribute to the success of our Semaphore Elcies Thrift Shop. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic in representing the Lutheran Care Op Shops within the local community.
The aims and objectives of this role are to:
* Maintain the shop and coordinate volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the Semaphore Op-Shop
* Create well organised stock flow to assist in meeting shop targets.
* Submit weekly stock orders to the Distribution Centre and ensure orders are sufficiently provided.
* Maintain a happy and friendly environment.
* Keep volunteers updated in organisational and shop news.
* Conduct regular meetings with staff and volunteers.
* Roster shifts for volunteers in the thrift shop to ensure coverage during opening hours, including weekends.
* Regularly liaise with operational support regarding stock volume and quality.
* Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance of daily operations.
Some weekend work will be required.

Salary Packaging:
The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) allows Public Benevolent Institutions (PBI), such as Lutheran Care, to offer special tax concessions. These concessions allow an employee to salary package a maximum of $15,899 from their gross salary each Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year.
