About The Role

Lismore Base Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 (CNC2) – Infection Prevention and Control to join the team.

The CNC2 provides advanced clinical leadership and expert nursing services within the specialty area of Infection Prevention and Control. This role plays a key part in supporting safe, high-quality patient care through specialist consultation, education, and service development.

The position is responsible for the expert clinical organisation, coordination, leadership, and consultancy of Infection Prevention and Control services across Lismore Base Hospital and targeted populations within the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).

Working collaboratively with nurses, midwives, medical officers, and key stakeholders across the hospital and Local Health District, the CNC2 acts as the principal representative of the Infection Prevention and Control Service. The role leads and supports the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Infection Prevention and Control programs in alignment with NNSWLHD and site-specific requirements.
