As a Security & Privacy Risk Services Graduate, you will contribute to IT and cyber security audits, risk assessments and consulting engagements for clients across Australia. You’ll learn how to assess information systems, evaluate security controls, identify risks and support clients in improving their cyber maturity.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop foundational skills in cyber security, consulting and IT audit in line with RSM methodologies
* Learn to understand, analyse and document information systems and business processes
* Build a basic understanding of cyber security, IT audit and risk management principles
* Assess information security controls and understand how they relate to engagement requirements
* Perform tests of internal controls and audit procedures under supervision and in accordance with RSM policies
* Identify and escalate ethical, independence or conflict‑of‑interest issues
* Develop working knowledge of electronic audit tools and cyber assessment technologies
* Complete assigned tasks accurately and within required timeframes
About You:
You’re someone who is motivated, curious and eager to build a career in cyber security, IT audit or technology risk. You bring initiative, professionalism and a strong sense of integrity to everything you do. You’ll thrive in this role if you:
* Are studying or have completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security or a related field
* Have basic knowledge of frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001/2 or similar
* Previous exposure to cyber security, IT auditing, networking, databases, change management or IT governance functions (Desirable)
* Communicate clearly and confidently with clients and colleagues
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
* Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Bring a can do attitude, resilience and a passion for continuous learning
* Can multitask and adapt to new tools, technologies and concepts
* Show sound judgment and a commitment to high quality work
* Hold Australian Citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency or New Zealand Permanent Residency
