Design & Build Recruitment is partnering with a National Construction Company. Our client is making a real difference in the education and social housing space within Queensland. I am searching for a number of Site Supervisors to join our client on long term contract positions.
The successful applicant will be taking charge of either education or social housing projects. You will be supervising subcontractors, managing progress and the overall site safety. You will report directly into your Project Managers. You could find yourself working on local or regional projects throughout Queensland. It is crucial that you are able and willing to work away from Brisbane for extended periods of time. Our client will cover all travel and accommodation.
Responsibilities
* Lead the on-site construction subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
* Manage project resources including labour, materials, and equipment.
* Work within budgetary constraints.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Coordinate with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and clients, to ensure smooth project progression and timely resolution of any issues.
* Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure that work meets the project specifications and design requirements.
Requirements
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Proven experience as a Site Supervisor running projects $2M+
* Able and willing to travel for work.
* Available to work in a casual contract capacity – paid through your own ABN or as an employee.
* In depth construction knowledge.
* Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, regulations, and quality standards.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
* Sound understanding of health and safety procedures and a commitment to ensuring compliance on‐site.
* First aid and CPR.
* QBCC is an advantage.
* Computer literate.
