Cardiology Practice Nurse (RN) – Highly Supported Role

About the Role
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse with excellent communication skills to join our dynamic and positive team.
As a Connected Cardiology Practice Nurse, you will work closely with our cardiologists (onsite/telehealth) and experienced and supportive cardiology nursing team (both clinical nurse consultants and nurse practitioners) to provide seamless, high-quality cardiovascular care. Your role will focus on patient pre-assessments, support for telehealth clinics and diagnostic testing.
You will play a key role in ensuring smooth clinic flow and acting as a touchpoint for reception staff, patients, and external cardiology services. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse looking to broaden their skill set, gaining specialist cardiology experience in a highly supported setting.
About us
Founded in 2019, Connected Cardiology was established to remove barriers to accessing specialist cardiac care for underserved groups including regional/remote Victorian and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We provide cardiology care with respect and compassion, developing strong links with local health and chronic disease management services, promoting heart health within the community and providing education to clinicians to enable a greater impact on heart disease.
Our established Shepparton Regional Hub, at 588 Wyndham St, supports face-to-face & telehealth consultations and we also provide outreach clinics to nearby communities.
We offer a wide range of diagnostic cardiology services including ECGs, Holter monitors, HeartBug monitors, ambulatory BP monitors, transthoracic and stress echocardiography to patients living with the Goulburn Valley region and adjacent areas.
These services are supported by
* One Resident Cardiologist (General/Heart Failure/Women's CV Disease, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health) and 4 Visiting/Telehealth Cardiologists (Angiography/Structural Intervention, Imaging, Electrophysiology) as well as one Consultant Physician (focus on Cardiogeriatrics)
* Visiting Cardiology Nurse Practitioners
* Team of Cardiology Clinical Nurse Consultants
* Experienced Cardiac Sonographer team
* An efficient and positive Administrative team

Ideal Candidate Profile:
Candidates must have valid work rights in Australia.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration.
* Experience in general practice, cardiology, or specialist care is desirable, but not essential—training will be provided
* Minimum of 2+ years nursing experience is required.
* Confidence in performing ECGs and basic cardiovascular assessments (or willingness to learn).
* Strong communication and coordination skills, ability to develop rapport with patients
