What does the job look like?
The Assistant Materials Planner will work closely with operational teams to source parts and assist the Team Leader in managing supplier deliveries, including creating and following up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. Key areas include:
* Maintaining optimum stock level of parts to meet business requirements
* Creating and maintaining an inventory schedule
* Following up on outstanding purchase orders - end to end
* Liaising with internal team and source parts as required
* Managing flow of inventory
* Review and action requests as per shared Materials Planning InboxNegotiating pricing with suppliers

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and comfortable working collaboratively with both suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will bring a practical approach to materials coordination and enjoy working in a fast-paced operational environment. You can demonstrate:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and purchase orders
* Effective problem-solving skills
* Confidence when liasing and negotiating with suppliers
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (Basic to intermediate skills)
