The Workforce Planning branch at the Premier's Department partners with agencies across the NSW Government to build a skilled, adaptable, and future-ready public sector. Our team delivers workforce services that empower colleagues in all government agencies to provide high-value services to the community. We focus on enabling workforce mobility, developing effective workforce strategies, and providing data-driven insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
About the Role
The Senior Business Analyst provides high-quality analytics, modelling and forecasting to support informed decision-making across the NSW Public Sector Workforce Mobility Placement Program. This role will primarily focus on delivering end-to-end business analysis to support the implementation of the NSW Public Sector's new Workforce Mobility Platform. You will play a key part in leading analysis and process mapping while working closely with stakeholders to support HR systems implementation and improved workforce mobility outcomes.
We are seeking a collaborative Business Analyst with experience supporting HR technology or broader HR stack implementations, particularly through detailed process mapping and requirements definition.

We're Looking For
* Business Analysis & Platform Implementation: Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end business analysis for technology or platform implementations, ideally within HR or people systems.
* Process Mapping & Requirements Definition: Demonstrated ability to develop clear process maps, elicit and document requirements, and produce user stories to support effective system configuration and delivery
* HR Systems / Enterprise Platforms: Experience working on HR stack implementations (e.g. ATS, HCM or related platforms) or similar enterprise-wide systems.
* Process Improvement & Analysis: Ability to analyse and document current and future state processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business users and senior stakeholders.
* Workforce or Talent Domain Knowledge: Knowledge of workforce functions, talent acquisition or workforce mobility is desirable but not essential.
