What is the role?
Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Compliance Team Member Covert Analysis and Assurance.
You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
What will you do?
Processing warrants, authorisations, notices and requests under the abovementioned legislation
Contributing to the preparation of reports to government and oversight bodies in relation the AFPs use of covert surveillance powers
Preparing briefs to Executive and responding to questions on notice regarding the AFPs use of covert surveillance powers
Supporting inspections by oversight bodies across various legislative regimes
Processing and quality assuring historical and prospective data telecommunication requests
Liaising with investigators in relation to reporting use of powers
Contributing to the maintenance of database registers and files to ensure legislative accountability
Proactively build and managed good working relationships with relevant stakeholders (both internal and external)
Fostering a mentor relationship with team members
Contributing innovative ideas to enhance processes in support of team objectives
Undertaking administrative tasks as required
Essential Requirements
You must be an Australian Citizen.
A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Ability to work in a remote team environment, if required
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment
Knowledge of Commonwealth legislation or ability to obtain knowledge
Desirable Requirements
The following skills and/or experience would be highly regarded:
Tertiary qualifications in relevant field.
Relevant qualification or extensive experience and knowledge in area of expertise.
Additional Information
National or International travel may be required.
This position has been advertised in multiple locations however, the role is located in City, STATE. Successful applicants must be willing to relocate to City.
