Job Overview
This role involves providing technical expertise to internal or external stakeholders, consultants, and project managers on matters related to structural assets on the state road network. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of bridge management systems, contract administration, and construction processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Utilize the Bridge Management System to scope, develop, monitor, and execute bridge maintenance, renewal, or upgrade projects aligned with strategic policies and guidelines.
* Prepare briefs and specifications required for scoping, development, contract administration, or investigation-type work.
* Inspect, monitor, and report on bridge and structure performance, including new construction projects throughout delivery until completion.
* Supervise technical staff or consultants in the performance of duties as directed.
* Provide specialized technical advice on maintenance, renewal, and construction of bridges and structures to project delivery and other staff, including training as appropriate.
* Represent the department on state and national committees relevant to primary duties as required.
* Perform other duties in other areas of state road asset management as required.
