**How will I help?**
The Technology Domain owner is a pivotal role within CCS Technology for Group Operations, responsible for all aspects of Business Village Technology, including strategy, business engagement, discovery, risk, finance, and innovation. This role leads Transformation Engineering for Group Operations Transformation and serves as the single point of contact for all technology needs within Group Operations.
The role is based in Sydney, with a requirement to attend the office three days a week.
**Responsibilities**:
- Define and oversee the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with broader technical and business strategies.
- Manage system performance, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and adherence to operational KPIs.
- Oversee software licensing and operational expenses, ensuring effective support models and cost optimization.
- Develop technical capabilities and upskill teams through training programs and certifications.
- Ensure adherence to software engineering standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Promote engineering excellence through modern practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and automation.
- Provide continuous feedback and mentorship to team members, establishing clear performance metrics.
- Influence feature prioritization based on business value, customer feedback, and technical dependencies.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technology team to ensure mutual understanding of requirements and technical feasibility.
- Manage solution risks and service/product decisions within the fast-paced environment.
- Lead strategic workforce planning and capability development for Appian technology.
- Communicate and implement the WBC Workflow Strategy, securing support and endorsement from key stakeholders.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Lines of Business (LOB) and Group Tech to drive and implement the Technology strategy.
- Grow the Appian capability with the Westpac Appian Centre of Excellence and set up a Workflow community of practice.

**Requirements and Skills**:
- Extensive experience in operations and process automation.
- Strong background in people leadership and managing internal stakeholders.
- Senior-level experience with Appian and workflow transformation.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale process automation programs.
- Strong knowledge of AI for digitisation.
- Ability to drive business transformation programs.
- Proficiency in modern engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and automation.
- Competence in managing solution risks and making informed service/product decisions.
- Experience in strategic workforce planning and capability development for specific technologies.
- Engineering background.
