Our client, a large State Government department, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for an exciting contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to contribute to high-value ICT initiatives and support the delivery of impactful projects designed to improve organisational outcomes.
About the Role
The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the Electronic Security Project, leading requirements gathering, documentation, and the procurement process. Working closely with a Project Manager and key stakeholders, you will ensure the project's success by aligning deliverables with strategic and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, including 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' processes.
* Lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including creating detailed business cases, procurement and evaluation plans, and managing vendor selection processes.
* Develop high-quality project documentation such as operational support models and procurement artefacts.
* Ensure compliance with State Government standards, protocols, and procurement guidelines.
* Provide mentorship and support to other business analysts within the team.
* Actively participate in stakeholder engagement and management, building strong relationships across the organisation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
* At least 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
* Qualifications in Business Analysis (e.g., BABOK, Agile, PRINCE2).
* Experience in State Government procurement processes and/or knowledge of QICT contracts is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with physical security systems (e.g., EACS, VMS, intercoms) and ICT network/server hardware is advantageous.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable solutions.
* A collaborative approach and the ability to mentor and support team members.
The Benefits
This contract role offers a daily range between $800 - $1000 a day (Depending on seniority) a contract through to 30 June 2025, with flexible working arrangements available.
