Lead specialist aged care nursing in a complex dementia care unit
Join Redland Residential Care at Redland Hospital as a Clinical Nurse (NG6) within the Blue Gum unit, providing expert nursing care for residents with complex health needs. In this role, you will deliver advanced clinical care and leadership for residents with dementia, cognitive impairment and complex chronic conditions while supporting a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, person‐centred aged care.
Your New Role
In this role you will provide advanced clinical nursing care and leadership within a specialist aged care environment supporting residents with complex cognitive and physical health needs.
* Deliver advanced clinical assessment, care planning and coordination for residents with dementia and complex care needs
* Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, students and multidisciplinary team members
* Support quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance and safe care practices
* Contribute to education, mentoring and professional development within the team
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, person‐centred care delivery
About you:
You are an experienced Clinical Nurse who is passionate about delivering high‐quality aged care and supporting residents with complex clinical and behavioural needs.
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
* Demonstrated experience managing complex aged care, dementia or cognitive impairment care needs
* Strong clinical decision‐making, leadership and problem‐solving skills
* Ability to mentor staff and contribute to education and quality improvement initiatives
* Commitment to person‐centred care and improving resident outcomes within a multidisciplinary team
