Overview
Leidos Australia supports the Military Survey activity of the SEA1770 Rapid Environmental Assessment project for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) by providing underwater hydrographic data to help ships maneuver and deploy safely in unknown maritime environments.
Responsibilities
* Provide advanced technical support and fault resolution across complex, integrated maritime ICT and electronic systems, including interoperability issues
* Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system availability, reliability and operational readiness
* Coordinate with OEMs and repair agents for maintenance, repairs and technical escalation support
* Lead engineering upgrades and re-engineering activities, including capability enhancements and system improvements
* Oversee maintenance delivery across multiple platforms (e.g., AUVs, radar, hydrographic and sensor systems) to support mission outcomes
Requirements
* Australian Citizen with an active Baseline AGSVA security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
Qualifications
* Strong hands‐on experience in complex ICT/electronic systems support, including troubleshooting and fault finding in operational environments
* Background in Defence, maritime or mission‐critical systems, ideally supporting integrated sensor, communications or RF‐based platforms
* Proven experience leading maintenance activities, including installation, reinstallation and recommissioning of systems
Preferred Technical Domains
* Telecommunications / communications systems
* RF engineering or payload management
* Autonomous systems (e.g., AUVs)
* Sensors, GNSS/navigation or electronics/software engineering
Education
* Advanced Diploma in Electronics/Communications
* Degree or Associate Diploma in Electronics Engineering, ICT or related discipline
