Aircraft Maintenance Professionals
Aircraft maintenance professionals play a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness and safety of military aircraft.
* Mechanical specialists are responsible for hydraulic, environmental, pneumatic, and propulsion systems, as well as propellers.
* Avionic specialists maintain, inspect, and diagnose avionic systems and components on fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
* Structures specialists handle sheet metal, bonded, and non-metallic composite materials and components on the aircraft.
* Armament specialists maintain emergency escape systems, egress systems, and aircraft weapon systems.
Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled servicing and other unscheduled maintenance tasks.
* Ensure that maintenance and technical documentation is authorised and compliant with regulations.
* Accurately record details of work performed and obtain certification if required.
* Report defects, deficiencies, and maintenance errors to the team leader.
About You:
* You must hold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills or equivalent qualification.
* Australian citizenship is mandatory for defence security clearance.
* You should have experience or interest in working with defence military aircraft.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
