Overview
Sales rep / Territory Manager – Truck & Machinery role focusing on mapping the market in Melbourne, selling trucks, earthmoving equipment, attachments and related machinery. The company operates across Australia with offices nationwide and emphasizes strong customer relationships, versatile working conditions and achievable earnings through commissions.
Responsibilities
- Map the market and target industries and major companies in the Melbourne area: Trades and sole contractors, major earthmoving fleets, hire companies, local councils.
- Engage on-site: talk to operators and drivers when you see earthmoving equipment, build relationships, and promote the brand of attachments alongside quick, easy sales.
- Drive new business by maximizing the civil contracting market and fronting customers to drive equipment sales.
- Call on a wide range of civil contractors and earthmoving companies (examples include Delta Rent, Multiplex, CPB, Multiworks, Entracon Civil, Delcon, Vic Civil, Maxcon, Hitachi, Williams Adams, Komatsu, CJD, Porter Equipment, Tutts, etc.).
- Possess external sales experience with cold calling and face-to-face introductions to win new relationships.
- Willingness to travel throughout all of Victoria and provide excellent customer service.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience selling trucks, earthmoving equipment, tractors, buses, container handlers, or related earthmoving machinery.
- External sales experience with the ability to cold call and win new relationships.
- Willingness to travel across Victoria.
- Proven salesperson with strong customer service, a positive attitude and team orientation; comfortable taking clients out for dinners.
Salary Package
- Base Salary - $85,000
- Company 4WD – Ford Ranger XLT
