Job Description
To provide the leadership necessary to promote collaboration and continuous improvement, assisting with work priorities, shipments, process control issues, and training.
* Prioritize tasks and shift setup in accordance with productivity requirements.
* Participate in workforce projections.
* Facilitate scheduling of team overtime and vacation in accordance with policy.
* Handle first-line performance issues, communicate with employees regarding time management and work quality issues.
* Provide objective input for project development and performance reviews.
* Train employees on new skills if certified, coordinate with or assign someone to provide training when needed.
* Coordinate resources to move from one area to help another when necessary to meet daily productivity and support outside departments.
* Avoid favoritism or the perception of favoritism.
Key Responsibilities
* Notify relevant parties when a process is out of control.
* Facilitate technique card and router changes.
* Participate in root cause analysis for out-of-control conditions.
* Promote process control within teams.
