The PositionAssist the Executive Director Medical Services (EDMS) in the coordination, administration and evaluation of Agency wide aspects of Medical Services.Responsible for ensuring that the recruitment, appointment, credentialing and employment of junior medical staff are consistent with legislative and Award provision.Responsible for overseeing the recruitment and workforce planning for junior medical staff, selection and ongoing training requirements (Vocational and pre-vocational).Responsible for overseeing the strategic development and improved partnership and communications with General Practice and the wider community health care providersAct in the position of EDMS as required, in addition to being delegated as required.Health ServiceThe Launceston General Hospital is an accredited 450 bed teaching hospital and is the major referral hospital for Tasmania's North and North-West.
