The Digital Library Services team manages the technologies that support the Library’s resources and services. The Librarian, Research Content and Repositories, plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing Griffith’s institutional repositories, including Griffith Research Online (GRO) and Creative Works. The role focuses on supporting submission processes, workflows, and metadata standards for non-traditional research outputs. Knowledge of research processes in the creative arts is desirable but not essential.
Key responsibilities
Provide digital repository services, including creating, maintaining, and improving metadata; evaluating interoperability with third-party services to ensure discoverability and accessibility.
Manage processing of traditional and non-traditional research outputs, including theses, datasets, software, and multimedia, ensuring compliance with copyright, FAIR, and CARE principles.
Collaborate within the Library and with external stakeholders to develop high-quality self-help materials, advice, and training for researchers.
Coordinate with technical teams and vendors to manage repository solutions, including change control, user acceptance testing, and stakeholder communication.
Stay informed on sector trends, open access opportunities, and participate in relevant user groups and communities.
About you
Completion of a library or information management degree, or equivalent experience and training.

This is a continuing position based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith operates across multiple sites, you may be required to work at other locations.
HEW 6 Salary - Base range: $91,843.49 - $97,964.71 + 17%. Full package range: $107,456.88 - $114,618.71.
