Children's Village is a family-run business, proudly operating since 2008. We currently operate five centres in Sydney's West, providing quality childcare to our community.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our central administration team. This role supports the financial operations of our childcare centres, with a strong focus on managing government funding programs and parent payments. If you are organised, reliable and enjoy working with numbers, we'd love to hear from you. We are seeking someone who is dedicated and interested in making this a long-term position. Similar experience is welcome but not essential. We will provide full training for all accounts and funding tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and submit government funding claims, reports, and acquittals
* Process parent payments, manage accounts receivable, and follow up fee balances
* Maintain accurate financial records and assist with data entry
* Support bank reconciliations, invoicing, and audit documentation
* Communicate with centre managers, families, and the finance team to ensure timely and accurate processes
Skills and Experience Required:
* Sound computer skills
* Strong communication skills
* Capable of time management and meeting deadlines
* Quick to learn and adaptable
* Valid Working with Children Check
* Similar experience is welcome but not essential. We will provide full training for all accounts and funding tasks.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $29.00 – $32.00 per hour
