**About the roles**
City of Parramatta libraries currently has several part-time Library Assistant opportunities available.
- 2 x Part-time positions at Parramatta (1 x 20 hours and 1 x 24 hours per week)
- 2 x Part-time positions at Epping (1 x 15.5 hours and 1 x 17.5 hours per week)
These positions are responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences to achieve Councils strategic objectives and vision for the City of Parramatta as Sydneys Central City. The Library Assistant contributes to positive customer experience by actively providing service delivery by working as a team member and communicating effectively with customers. While initially located at Epping or Parramatta, staff may be asked to work at any library across the network.
Councils library services are delivered across a network of 7 libraries including the new Parramatta library located within PHIVE, the community, cultural and civic heart of Parramatta Square. Libraries are open across a wide spread of hours including 7 days a week at some sites.
**Daily you will**:
- Proactively deliver core customer service competencies as part of the Customer Experience Team, to provide memorable and exceptional experiences for customers
- Ensure that each customer receives a positive customer experience in line with the Customer Service Charter and the Librarys Customer Care Standards
- Be responsible for providing day-to-day service to enhance community access to and enjoyment of the Library
- Deliver high quality customer focused services and programs to customers in a self-serve environment within the framework of the Librarys customer service model to maximise the customers experience.
**About You**
- HSC certificate or equivalent relevant experience
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with exceptional ability to deliver memorable experiences
- Well-developed PC literacy, including skills with mobile technologies and basic technology trouble shooting skills
- Proven ability to work cooperatively as part of a team in a customer service environment
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to quickly learn and share new skills or customer programs
**Whats on offer**
We are offering an attractive base salary from $61,140 pro-rata (plus superannuation)
