We are seeking an experienced and dedicated endorsed midwife to join our passionate team at Tuart Family Practice in Baldivis, WA. As an endorsed midwife, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional antenatal, birthing and postnatal care to women and their families. This position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative environment, contributing to the overall healthcare and wellbeing of our local community.
What you'll be doing
* Providing comprehensive midwifery care to women throughout their pregnancy, labour and postpartum period.
* Conducting antenatal appointments, monitoring the progress of pregnancies, and identifying and managing any complications or high‑risk situations.
* Assisting with and leading the delivery of babies, ensuring a safe and positive birth experience for mothers and infants.
* Delivering postnatal care, including lactation support, newborn assessments, and coordinating follow‑up care.
* Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals, such as obstetricians and paediatricians, to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
* Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records and data, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Participating in continuous professional development to stay up‑to‑date with the latest midwifery practices and industry standards.
What we're looking for
* Registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as an endorsed midwife, preferably in a community or private practice setting.
* Excellent clinical skills, with a strong understanding of midwifery best practices and the ability to provide safe, high‑quality care.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with patients and their families.
* A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for staying at the forefront of midwifery advancements.
